LoTone

Handle: LoTone (Lt)

Name: Matt

Position: Operator / Public Relations

Specialty:
Light Infantry
Event Producer

Airsoft Experience:
6 years

LoTone started airsoft in late 2003 and was a member of Team LEO for 3 years and got the callsign LoTone for the low voice tone he uses during radio transmissions. After 3 years, Team LEO had run its course. There was a lack of dedication and participation and so Team LEO disbanded. LoTone’s desire to play the sport led him to create a new team, UOF (Use Of Force). UOF was very short lived and also disbanded for similar reasons.

Thunder On The Plains
In 2007 LoTone created Thunder On The Plains. TOTP’s was a fictional multi-objective based event unlike Wichita Airsoft had experienced. He wanted to give Wichita Airsoft something different than what other MILSIM events were doing. The event had a great turn out and was very well received. LoTone scrounged, borrowed, begged, and solicited the help from other Wichita Airsoft community members to help with materials and game props. The event brought teams together and helped the local airsoft community grow.

Joining STAC82
After TOTP he was approached by
Tech of STAC82 and asked to join their team. He had the benefit of playing alongside STAC82 operators at several other games at local fields and knew the team held honor and integrity to high standards. LoTone did not hesitate to join their ranks. He and several former UOF members merged with STAC82. LoTone will tell you that joining STAC82 was the best decision he has made since starting the sport.

2008 WASC
LoTone has ideas galore, one of which solicited the help of his team mates to host the 2008 Wichita Airsoft Squad Competition. This event was very unique and put STAC82 on the map as an integral part of Wichita Airsoft. With the help of his team mates they created a solid, one-of-a-kind competition. STAC82 operators played as the Shadow Squad in which nine 4-man teams competed against for points. Teams came from Wichita, El Dorado, Fort Riley, and Kansas City to compete. They pitted their skills against the Shadow Squads on 3 fields and 8 separate scenarios. The event was a total success and demonstrated STAC82’s motto of, “Honor, Integrity, Sportsmanship… These above all else.”

LoTone, The STAC82 Operator
LoTone came into STAC82 and hit the ground running. He is a very active member and wants STAC82 to thrive. He is a motivator and keeps his eye on the future of where STAC82 is going. He is eager to monitor new prospects that are excited about the sport. He hopes to continue to bring in good, honest, trustworthy new players to further that enthusiasm. Even though LoTone was not an original member of STAC82, there is no doubt that he is now a staple of what STAC82 is. He is proud to be surrounded by some of the absolute best guys in the sport. When he decides to eventually leave the sport it will be as a STAC82 operator.
