Secret Squirrel

Seceret Squirl

Handle: Secret Squirrel

Name: Steven

Position: Operator

How I got my Handle?

When I was in the United States Navy, I received numerous call signs and this one was my all time favorite. It is the name of a Hanna-Barbera cartoon character about a super agent that is a squirrel who foils villains. It was given to me by an operator and I always found the humor in the name so I have decided to use it for airsoft.

History and Experience:

I am new to airsoft, having just start in September of 2009, and loving every minute of it. The only Op that I have attended to date is Op:CeaseFire at Ft. Riley. I know Bent Barrel prior to air soft and we would talk about it and how fun it was. He then suggested that I try out an air soft store for an accessory I was looking for my real steal firearm and I went into one and after talking shop I went out to the field and I was hooked. The camaraderie of the people who play and work in the local air soft industry was terrific and all I needed to become an active participant.

Growing up in Georgia I have shot at stuff as far back as I can remember. Plinking cans and pine cones in our backyard was a daily occurrence when I was a kid.

Naturally I have also acquired small arms training while in the service. Some of my best days and some of my worse days were in the Navy. I have been to far away places I never knew existed and seen things that few have ever seen. I loved and hated my time in, but was ready for a change when I was up for re-enlistment.

I just graduated from Newman University with a B.S. in Biology and in the process of re-applying for med school. I was accepted last year but had to resign when I became ill from one of my patients. I am leaning towards being a combat surgeon for the Navy, but that is a long time in the future and have years of school before that will occur.

(If you can tell I have a love affair with short barrel carbine style weapons)
