WOODLAND MARPAT

WOODLAND MARPAT, also known to some as Digital Woodland, was selected for its very effective ‘pixelated’ disruptive style of blending into green environments.

MARPAT Facts and History
MARPAT (MARine PATtern) is a pixelated camouflage pattern currently in use by the United States Marine Corps. The pattern is formed by a number of small rectangular pixels of color. It is an effective camouflage because it mimics the dappled textures and rough boundaries found in natural settings. This is caused by how the human eye interacts with pixelated images.

DESERT MARPAT

STAC82 selected DESERT MARPAT in 2007 as their official ‘tan’ or ‘brown’ uniform when it began participating in events were opposing teams were based on two primary colors of uniforms. DESERT MARPAT was selected over other desert uniforms for the same pixilated disruptive pattern mentioned for MARPAT above.

MULTICAM

MULTICAM was chosen as an alternative to MARPAT for ‘green team’ camouflage. Some STAC82 team mates believe that its vast color combination and lack of non-natural colors (the absence of black) makes it one of the best and most diverse camouflage patterns on the market.

MULTICAM Facts and History
MULTICAM is a modern multi-environment camouflage pattern developed by Crye Associates in conjunction with U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center (also known as U.S Army Natick labs). The pattern was on the race to replace the out-dated 3-color desert and Woodland patterns, but eventually lost to the Universal Camouflage Pattern seen in the Army Combat Uniform. The pattern is available to civilians.

MultiCam has background colors of a brown to light-tan gradient and lime green blending in between, the main part consist of green to yellowish green gradient and finally dark brown and light pinkish blotches spread throughout the pattern. This allows for the overall appearance to change from greenish to brownish in different areas of the fabric, while having smaller blotches to break up the bigger background areas.

Other uniforms

Along with the three camouflage patterns listed above, STAC82 Operators and Members also maintain their own individual collections including ACU, Tiger Stripe, Black, Traditional Woodland, OD Green, 3 Color Desert, and 6 Color Desert
